What Can a Life Insurance Policy Do For Me Now

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

Reader question:

What can my  life insurance rates do for me before I die? I am a senior and could use the money now.

Allison

Glad you asked.

Your payment of your life insurance rates for many years could benefit you later in life, even while you’re still on this earth. Many people fall on hard times by becoming sick or coming down with a disease, which, even with health insurance, makes it difficult for them to support themselves and their families. If you have a life insurance policy, though, you may be able to get accelerated death benefits in these cases.

How can you get accelerated death benefits from your life insurance rates?

  • If you are diagnosed with some kind of condition or disease and given a specific amount of time to live.
  • You are diagnosed with something which would give you a very short time to live if you did not undergo enormous amounts of treatment.
  • You have to spend a long time in a nursing home.
  • You have to spend the rest of your life in a nursing home.

Houston TX life insurance agent

Reader question:

What is the best Houston TX life insurance agent like?

Luz

Glad you asked.

Your life insurance policy is only as good as your Houston TX life insurance agent, which is why you should take good care when choosing such an agent. Here are a couple of things to think of:

  • Get a Houston TX life insurance agent that considers your financial and personal circumstances when helping you choose a policy, and doesn’t just try to sell you what’s hot.
  • Is good at giving you an easy to understand explanation of the available life insurance policies and what they mean.
  • Will be able to go over your life insurance policy every couple of years or so to make sure that it still works for you.
  • Is licensed to do business as a Houston TX life insurance agent.
  • Goes by your schedule, instead of trying to push you to buy something now, now, now!
  • Is willing to give you a written explanation of your financial and personal circumstances and your life insurance policy, and how they work together, with all of the details.

Compare life insurance rates in Chicago IL

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

Reader question:

Is it still possible to compare life insurance rates in Chicago IL if you’ve had a heart attack?

Bill

Of course, Bill.

Even if you are young, having one heart attack can drastically increase your life insurance rates. This may be discouraging, but it is just more incentive for you to compare life insurance rates in Chicago IL. Having had a heart attack doesn’t mean you are out of luck, and the trouble you will face often depends on just how sever your heart attack was.

The thing is that there is a lot of research out there which shows what the life expectancy is for people with heart problems, which means that if you have suffered from a heart attack, then a life insurance company can look at these studies and pretty much see into the future for how long you will live. The thing you may not know about life insurance companies is that this is exactly what they like–knowing. They are much more able to sell a policy to someone if they can be fairly certain of when that person will “cash in”.

One thing to do after a heart attack is to go awhile without life insurance, at least a couple of years, before you compare life insurance rates in Chicago IL. This makes it more likely for you to get the best results.

VA life insurance rate coverage

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

Reader question:

What kind of VA life insurance rate coverage can i get to cover my debts?

Randy

Glad you asked, Randy.

Although there is no flood of ways to get decent VA life insurance rate coverage, the Veteran’s Association does offer a program called Veteran’s Mortgage Life Insurance Policies. This is not something which is available to all veterans, though. It is specifically targeted at those veterans who have become disabled and who, with the help of the Veteran’s Association, have been granted money to change their home to accomadate their disability, such as adding ramps, lowering counters, and so on.

The mortgage life insurance policies as part of the VA life insurance rate coverage is also pretty limited in scope. The purpose of this policy is to, if the veteran should die, provide money to their family members so that they can pay off the mortgage of their home. Mortgage is a huge cost, so this is very helpful.

However, since it is for mortgage, you might as well cancel your policy once you have finished paying off your house. If you have this policy, you should also get an individual life insurance policy for further protection of your family.

Fashun.
